Everything you need to know

Is the first class really free?

Yes. Every programme offers a free first class with no commitment. Book a date and time online, or message us on WhatsApp if you'd rather talk first.

What should I wear and bring to my first class?

Comfortable clothing you can move in, and a bottle of water. That's all you need for your first session.

Do I need any experience or to be fit already?

No. Classes are suitable for all levels, whether you're stepping on the mats for the first time or returning to training. Instructors adapt the session to you.

What age can my child start?

From age 4. Future Champions is for ages 4–7, Kids for 8–11 and Youths for 12–15. Adults classes start at 16, and there are dedicated Ladies and Over 40s classes too.

How much does membership cost?

Bronze is £50 a month for 2 sessions a week, Silver £65 a month for 3 sessions a week, and Gold £80 a month for unlimited sessions including sparring. On Bronze and Silver, sparring is £5 per session. Memberships are set up at reception and you can cancel anytime.

Are your instructors DBS-checked?

Yes. Every class is taught by qualified, DBS-checked instructors, led by head coach Elijah Everill, a 15-time WAKO World Champion and GB National Coach.

Where can I park?

Waterloo Street Car Park is just around the corner and Ironbridge Central is about 3 minutes' walk; both are free after 5pm, so weekday evening classes have no parking charge. Bedlam Furnace Car Park, 2 minutes away, is free at all times and best for Saturdays and gradings.

What facilities do you have?

A full matted area, a boxing ring and punch bags, strength and conditioning equipment, and showers with dedicated changing rooms.

Will I hear how my child is getting on?

Yes. Coaches give parents regular updates on progress and upcoming events.

Do kids get belts and gradings?

Yes. Progress is tracked against Everill's training syllabus, with gradings and belt progression as children improve.

Can my teenager compete?

There's a competitive pathway for those who want it, alongside a clear belt and grading structure for everyone.

Is there sparring?

Sparring runs as its own session on Saturdays at 10:30am for all levels. It's £5 per session on Bronze and Silver, and included with Gold.

Is the class ladies only?

Yes. It's a ladies-only space, on Saturday mornings at 9:45am, suitable for complete beginners through to experienced practitioners.

I haven't trained before. Is the Over 40s class right for me?

Yes. It's designed for all experience levels, with low-impact conditioning and an age-appropriate pace that protects joints while building strength and mobility.
